Lee Bracegirdle, horn player;
exciting new additions to:
horn study repertoire
brass quintet repertoire
Lee Bracegirdle has 25 years' experience
as a principal hornist in orchestras on 3
continents: America, Europe (Germany) and
Australia (refer to resumé, back 3 pages). His teaching methods are used in conservatoria and private studios
world-wide. You can now obtain your own copy
of his most widely used "clinical"
exercises (see editorial, below), directly
from the publisher. "Practical Exercises for Horn" ("Praktische
Übungen für Horn") are published by:
3-C Musikverlag & Notengrafik
Rungestrasse 14
D-44795 Bochum
Germany

As well as these studies for horn, 3-C has also published some of Mr. Bracegirdle's
brass quintet material. This repertoire includes
his interpretation of Christmas "carol"
music entitled "European Christmas", which is in 2 volumes, and his arrangement
of William Brade's "2 Pieces".
Attention, "English Brass" players:
The aforementioned "European Christmas"
carol volumes are now also available transposed
for "English" brass ensemble (Trumpets
in Bb / Horn in Eb / Baritone Horn (or Trombone)
in Bb / Tuba in Eb).
The February, 2001 issue of "The Horn
Call" printed the following comments
about these publications:
(Practical Studies):
"These exercises offer the moderately-advanced
hornist means of improving overall technique
and range through relatively brief exercises.
All of the exercises are interesting, and
some are challenging even to the advanced
player. [Mr. Bracegirdle] should be applauded!"
(European Christmas):
"highly recommended as fine 'gig' material
for the holiday season!"
Horn players around the world will be acquainted
with his jazz horn quartet arrangements of
Beatles songs ("Eleanor Rigby",
"The Fool on the Hill", "Penny
Lane"). These are available directly
from Mr. Bracegirdle only. To arrange for
your copy, contact him via
